Going through the motions.....................

As I have been studying God's Word this last month, this song keeps coming back to me. I don't want to be a Christian that just goes through the motions, I want to have a faith that is real and relevant. I want my children to see my faith and know that it rests in the Most Holy God! I want to take every moment and opportunity to share what God is doing in my life and to be able to share with everyone why I have this amazing faith in God. We only have one life here on earth, one life to serve our Most Holy God, one life to devote to Him.

Katelynn's field trip to the Oregon Zoo!!

To end her first grade year, Katelynn's class got to take their only field trip of the year! We all loaded up the buses with 3 classes of first graders on each bus, to head over to the Oregon Zoo. Leaving well after rush hour should have passed, we got stuck in traffic! Wow sitting with 2 wound up girls as we waited for about 30 minutes reminded me why I stick to working with little ones instead of grade-schoolers! Noisy and wiggly!!!

We had a great time and I really enjoyed seeing the elephants, especially the baby one!

Zach's new belt!

Zach has now graduated to his yellow/orange belt in karate.

He also got to move up into basic black belt training.

He now gets to use sparing gear and learn special moves for weapons.

This quarter is Kamas!
